Meet Your Teacher ideas and a clock FREEBIE!

Every year our team creates a school supply list for parents and every year there are things that I need, I just don't need 18 sets of them so they don't make the list. For example: printer paper, paper plates, cups, yellow and green construction paper {IDK why I use those most}...anyway, you get the point. I'm sure there's a list growing in your head of things you could use just a few of, right? If I had 18 sets of cups, let's be real...I wouldn't have a home for them...and I don't.do.clutter.

So- here's my solution...

Each year for Meet Your Teacher I draw a little "Giving Tree" on the board. I use the apple post-its {L.O.V.E} and I write the random needed supplies- one on each label.

If I want more than one of that particular item, I create more than one post-it. When the parents come that night, they can easily pull the post-it of their choice off the board and take it with them to the store! It has worked perfectly for years!

I've also seen teachers use the Rainbow Fish as inspiration and the parents can pull off the shiny scales- so stinkin' cute!

Just a couple ideas for ya! :)

Moving on...

Here's a Pinterest inspiration idea that's been collecting dust in my brain all summer...an I finally decided to make them today!

The best part? It's free for my followers!

I created these guys because I couldn't find a set of clock labels that I liked in my colors. This file includes: blue, green, purple, pink, orange and yellow so you can create a custom set to fit your room colors! Just click, download and print! :)
You're always welcome to pin!

Have a great weekend!
Don't forget to beat the rush and fill your shopping carts now before the HUGE back to school TpT sale kicks off tomorrow!! Once the sale opens the site can get bogged down due to the rush of teachers pushing their way through internet isles!

peace.

  1. I do the giving tree, too! Mine stays up all year so I can ask for seasonal items, as well.

    1. Oh- that's cute!! I don't keep it up all year, it takes up half my board...but I do put it up again for each report card night!

  5. On the supply lists I send home on the first day, I list "optional items" like paper plates, lunch bags, etc. and I do get a decent amount of those!

    1. That's a good idea too...does your whole team use the same list or can each teacher create their own?

  6. Thanks for the awesome clock label freebie. Super cute! I have also used the giving tree idea, but why on earth did I not think about using the apple post-its?! Thank you for showing me the light.
